0.5 Dome, 2008

Here we are with Dustin, Cara, and Cara's dad's group of annual Half Dome hikers (Barry - third from right - has hiked it 28 years in a row now!). 17 miles and 5000 feet! Thanks to them for letting us tag along this year, we had a great time. Here's a few quick pictures:

Dustin, Cara, and Kate on the wet Mist Trail by Vernal Falls

Tom and Kate in a futile attempt to stay dry on the Mist Trail

Kate and Cara heading up the granite steps beside Nevada Falls

The cables on Half Dome - a much more manageable task on a Monday than a typical summer weekend day, yet still quite crowded with hikers

Woa! Steve mentioned you had an ongoing debate as to which is scarier... Half Dome, or Angel's Landing. I say... doesn't matter! I won't be doing either any time soon! LOL.
Your fraidy cat friend,
Sarah :)

I am with Sarah. I can't even look at that picture with the cables! That must be an amazing trip. Hats off to all of you. I don't see Banjo. Are dogs allowed on that trail?

"Here's a few quick pictures"

since we occasionally have a grammar fixation on this blog, I'll point this out as being objectionable...
